1. Verification & Access
When you log in to the UU Bus Portal, your student credentials are verified in real-time strictly to confirm your registration status at Uttara University. This is a transient (on-the-fly) authentication check to authorize portal access for active students.
2. Device & Location Permissions
Bus Location Tracking: The live locations of the campus buses are updated publicly.
Student Location Tracking: The portal **never** silently monitors, records, or uploads your device's individual GPS coordinates. Location permissions are used strictly on-device to show your relative position on the Live Map and trigger Geofence Alerts.
3. Crowdsourced Activity & Reports
Any passenger crowd load feedback or Lost & Found postings you submit will be logged in the database along with your student tag. This ensures system transparency and prevents fake or abusive reporting.
4. Data Management & Local Storage
We do not store or save student login credentials permanently on our servers. Your active login session data (Name, ID, and Department) is cached exclusively **on your own device** inside your browser's secure cache (`localStorage`) to keep you logged in. No account identifiers or portal activity logs are tracked, shared, or sold to third-party organizations.

The UU Bus Portal is an unofficial student-run portal built solely for academic ease and fleet coordinate tracking. It has no direct affiliation with Uttara University administrative authorities.
